1. Senators
In addition to the Lead Senator elected last semester, we will have 4 additional senators to represent our graduate student population in University Senate. All graduate students are encourage to apply for these positions.
Responsibilities: All GSO Senators are required to sit on several of the University at Albany Faculty Senate Committees. The GSO Senators are required to attend all meetings of the GSO Assembly. Appointed GSO Senators are also required to write a summary of those Senate Committee proceedings, which will be turned over to the Lead Senator who in turn will report at the next GSO Assembly meeting.
2. Judicial Board Members
Three graduate students with good understanding of GSO Constitution and By-Laws are needed in Judicial Board. These are essential to the operation of GSO.
Responsibilities: Adjudicating questions involving the GSO Constitution, By-Laws, Financial Guidelines or Operating Procedures/Guidelines; Mediating disputes brought forward by a GSO member or any other such issue as designated by the GSO Assembly.
3. Office Manager
We need at least one new office manager for our GSO office.
Responsibilities: Keep our popular GSO office operates smoothly, help students with computer, printer, copier and fax machine, manage financial and governmental paper work, order equipment and supplies for the office, and whatever it takes to make GSO office better. Hourly paid.
